Notes
The penultimate gig from the Boz-era Crim is sadly represented by a grim-sounding bootleg that has resisted the very best necromantic rites available to DGMLive and makes Earthbound sound like the sweetest pristine-sounding record you ever did hear.
The distortion on Schizoid Man creates the impression that the band are playing in the middle of an astonishing whirldwind. If we could but hear it properly, Fripp’s solo goes from laser beam precision to nuclear wipe-out. Understandably the crowd go bat-shit crazy after it’d finished
A good audience nevertheless who are generous with their praise - especially when it comes to Mel’s flute playing on Cadence, which, despite the less than optimal conditions surrounding it, manages to gracefully take flight.
