09.53  Morning reading in the Cellar I…  II...  III...  IV... It is strange how energies can be transferred by electronic communication. I was once given a migraine by telephone, when a guest in The Basement of Chateau Belewbeloid. On that occasion, it was not negativity; but a fixed position held in regard to an opportunity. The fixity moved from the telephone, up my arm, into my neck and stayed there. The opportunity available was unrecognized, and an opportunity lost. My telephone duologist later attempted another form of connecting to that opportunity, in a different form, with mixed results. What is possible, even if very very good possible, if not recognized, does not become actual. And Vivendi, who owns UMG, would probably also take a sufficient dent that would send it for repair. Also newsed: how Spotify loses $57m per year. An informed industry insider comments to me: It’s astonishing to me that nowhere in the article does the writer point out that Spotify – unlike Pandora – is owned by, and serves the interests of – the major labels. The whole notion of Spotify paying “the industry” is absurd. It is closer to a money-laundering operation...
