Bredonborough.

In the night: with Ignacio, Crafty Hero-Buddy of Argentina.

Morning reading in the Cellar I…

II...

III...

IV...

To anyone interested in Old English Customs, I recommend Ronald Hutton’s work whose books are above the Cellar, in the Home Study library.

11.29    T set off c. 10.30 for the Piddle and a business meeting, continuing on to London.

Here, e-fury. I have received a very negative e-mail the intention of which, as far as I can determine, was to pollute me with the correspondent’s own negativity. In this, they have succeeded.

It is strange how energies can be transferred by electronic communication. I was once given a migraine by telephone, when a guest in The Basement of Chateau Belewbeloid. On that occasion, it was not negativity; but a fixed position held in regard to an opportunity. The fixity moved from the telephone, up my arm, into my neck and stayed there. The opportunity available was unrecognized, and an opportunity lost. My telephone duologist later attempted another form of connecting to that opportunity, in a different form, with mixed results.

What is possible, even if very very good possible, if not recognized, does not become actual. The mechanics of this have given me many long hours of rumination.

14.22    A call to Brother Sicroff in Massachusetts re: the latest developments in the Thomas de Hartmann Project. An unexpected arising, and Elan is soon off to Holland to continue the process. My conclusion: sometimes it’s good to shout at God (but only where an undertaking is necessary).

14.35 And in the news: In the US a jury can set a fine of up to $150,000 for every occasion of wilful copyright infringement, meaning that Mr Tenenbaum's fine is below the maximum he could have received for the 31 songs he was found guilty of illegally sharing.

As was pointed out to me today, were this the levy on UMG’s unauthorized use of KC per track, UMG would be bankrupted. And Vivendi, who owns UMG, would probably also take a sufficient dent that would send it for repair.

Also newsed: how Spotify loses $57m per year. An informed industry insider comments to me: It’s astonishing to me that nowhere in the article does the writer point out that Spotify – unlike Pandora – is owned by, and serves the interests of – the major labels.  The whole notion of Spotify paying “the industry” is absurd. It is closer to a money-laundering operation...

By which my respected commentator means alleged money-laundering operation.

18.54    Upstairs, sitting on the landing to try on a pair of shoes, WillyFred was keen to play. Not sufficient with affectionate stroking, he covered the back of my trousers, waistcoat and shirt with WillyFred’s form of loving expression.

Downstairs, the inbox has been attacked with moderate success. Much remains, however.

T is on her way home from London.

20.05    Yippee! The Minx is home.

20.55    Good catching up conversation. Much in the air.

To gentle.
