Bredonborough.

This morning, no hurtling of the WillyFred as my feet hit the floor. Nevertheless, as much enthusiasm to be fed as ever.

Into the Cellar I…

… for morning reading…

The bookmark…

... depicts WillyFred in a bad mood.

Yesterday major news-arising in the UK of a cover up by Power Possessors, for 23 years, of their mistakes

Victims and survivors suffered not just on April 15, 1989 in Sheffield, but for over two decades afterwards with the shameful slandering of their actions by people who abused their position and power.

What! The blocking-attempts of those with power fail over time? Rough Music, persistently sounded, has eventual effect? Well.

failing in their duty of care to those who needed help most. Hold on! Is this an article on Dr. Sam G Alder’s EG?

At this rate, UMG might even pay royalties on Summers & Fripp, now 19 years late. Or Steven Fisher might announce on behalf of Messrs. Alder and Fenwick: My clients are not renowned for their probity and sound business practices

We’ll see. If the Gates of Heaven open to persistence perhaps The Gates of Hell rarely close. Shaking the detritus of professional life in the music industry from my left foot, onto The Writing Project.

11.08 OMG – it’s UMG! As has been mentioned occasionally on the DGM site and in this Diary (eg UMG - The Story So Far:: Posted by Sid Smith on Mon., Sep 3, 2012) Universal has been providing KC music for download, while also accepting they have no rights to do so. One interpretation of this is, UMG is so large that it is unable to run its affairs efficiently. Following from this, one interpretation is they don’t care very much about that. Following on, perhaps when UMG is caught in a situation where they are shown to be acting improperly, better to roll out an expensive lawyer to block the concerns of those whose rights have been violated, rather than addressing the cause of the violation: UMG itself.

A wonderful, descriptive term has been used, to describe the reply of an iTunes company in Europe when questioned on its downloading of KC material provided to it by UMG: deliberately obtuse.

Declan Panegyric once used this expression to Mr. Most Useless Of Smiths, in respect of Mr. Useless’ continual prevarications and evasions on UMG’s failure to honour the Sanctuary KC contract. Reportedly, Mr. Useless did not welcome this description of his correspondence.

Perhaps we should send WillyFred in a bad mood to sort them out.

Procedings proceed.

This guitar, given to me in 1984 by the UK importer and modified by Ted Lee, was used with KC, David Sylvian and the RF String Quintet, being replaced as main instrument by custom-made Fernandes LPs in the mid 1990s.

16.43    In the post…

19.39 And then to the Cellar. E-flurrying and computing enough.

WillyFred as Piggleswade…

… the exceptionally well-fed rabbit.

To practicing.
