A Winner Writes...
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Sun., Apr 15, 2012

Rick Mascarini was the winner of our recent Pat Mastelotto Recidivate competition and here he is with his prize...

Rick writes "I arrived home yesterday (Friday 13th of April) from another long business excursion to find my "prize" having arrived while I was on the road. The picture was taken w/ my now trusty iPad 2 along with the P@ music playing from the same said device.  Wonderful that I can travel and have these gems playing on headphones while sitting in airplanes. Thanks again for the contests and I'm very proud to be a lucky winner!"

David Enthoven
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Fri., Aug 12, 2016
David Enthoven, the co-founder of EG Management, has died. He was 72.

Enthoven, along with his business partner, John  Gaydon, was absolutely essential in helping King Crimson achieve international success in 1969, with David mortgaging his house to finance the recording of In The Court Of The Crimson King.

David, along with John and Robert, pioneered the forward-looking, artist-friendly business model whereby the artist licensed their work to the record company, which in 1969 was something relatively unknown.

Enthoven and Gaydon were on hand to bring TRex, ELP and Roxy Music to the world stage and in its early days EG stood out as an innovative company within the music industry of the day.

In later years David fell foul of alcohol and substance abuse. Despite many personal setbacks he came back to establish IE Management with business partner, Tim Clarke, with Robbie Williams as a client.

It’s no exaggeration to say David Enthoven’s involvement in the story of King Crimson was pivotal and decisive.

Enthoven reconnected with Robert Fripp and the world of King Crimson several years ago,  offering advice and support on various projects and undertakings. This morning, Robert Fripp commented, "David Enthoven was the heart of EG."

The BBC have covered David’s passing as have The Daily Mirror.

Live In Toronto Reviewed

King Crimson's Live In Toronto has received thumbs up from the Dutch Progressive Rock Pages website.

"King Crimson are as vital and innovative as they ever were, and perhaps even more so in today's somewhat turgid music scene. Real music, by proper musicians, out there taking chances and delivering something very new."
